The second script I am reading is a little better I think. Lita has a few more lines. Another interesting difference is that in one script when Joan gets her leather pants she says she looks like Suzy Quatro but in the other like Bowie. I wish they had Jackie and Vicki characters instead of Robin which was the biggest let down of all. There were so many memorable things that happened in Cherie's book and I don't see any of those anywhere: for example the selzer bottle.

does CC get preggers in this? doe she inadvertantly burn one of her fans, with her cigarette after a show, while complaining about a massive migraine headache?

I didn't see that in the first script I read and I am only part way through the second which seems very different. There is alot that seems uneccessary like shoplifting and Sandy masturbating but I guess they are trying to show the coming of age side of the story. I wonder what Sandy would have thought about scripts that have her masturbating in the bathroom. I also wonder if the band gets new fans from this movie if they will be wondering what happened to Robin when they get their cd's.

I think new fans will look for information, find the various Runaways bios, and realize big parts of the stories are different. Some (I'd hope most) would see the movie as a stylized drama and learn there were other people and possibly get into The Bangles and other related bands as well. A few will email anyone with a bio wondering why we're lying about leaving out Robin. I'd hope those would be few but there will be some. Laugh if you want but for about a year I had someone email me repeatedly asking why I didn't include Lita's marriage to Paul Stanley in her bio. It didn't matter how many times I told him that Lita never married Paul Stanley, he insisted I was leaving it out so people would think Paul was gay.
Seriously.

There is a certain group of people ( I noticed this seems to be a very rapidly growing group) who will believe anything someone else tells them, or any junk they find on the internet, but will not believe the people who actually KNOW what they are talking about, thru personal experience. It would be a great time to be PT Barnum. I think there are way more than one born every minute.

Scout talks about The Runaways: Scout Taylor Compton Interview, Halloween 2 - MoviesOnline
Q: Tell us about Runaways.
Scout: It was great. It was a fun experience. I auditioned for it like a year ago for Joan Jett and they offered it to Kristen Stewart who is amazing. She's an amazing girl all around. Then I went out for the drummer because I play drums but that just didn't fit. I tried my hardest to get it and then they offered me the bass player which I don't play bass so I had to pick that up. Then they come up to me and they're like 'You look like Lita Ford. You act like Lita Ford. Will you be Lita Ford?' 'Are you serious? Lead guitarist in two weeks? Okay, cool.' I'm not gonna turn that down so I just worked really, really hard. All of us girls worked really, really hard. We had band practice. We hung out after set and just kind of worked the scenes. It was really nice because I felt like I was in a real band and I really miss it. I really do because I miss performing and getting with my girls.
Q: What is Lita like?
Scout: Lita is wild. She's very wild. She's a very determined girl. She was the one who was really focused on the work rather than the fans and the praise. She was the one who was really dedicated to her work and she was very stubborn and sometimes, she had a tough side and all the girls knew that. She was a tough girl so it was pretty interesting. Totally opposite from Laurie Strode, playing the tough girl that was in control. Yeah, Lita was definitely a fun character to play.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she can be edgy enough for Lita. Some actors can't. Ever seen Reese Witherspoon as a badass?
ok, go ahead and make fun of me: I actually went to see "Halloween II". Honestly, I only went to check out Scout Taylor-Compton. It was SO BAD, I stayed for a little over an hour and left. (none of my friends wanted to see it so I went alone). i know she plays the victim in these "Halloween" movies, and Lita is most certainly not a victim character, so i'm sure she'll be much different. Vocally, i hope she really finds an authority as Lita, as in the horror flicks she kind of has a high pitched, light voice. Curious to see her play the great Ford.

Scout went to see Lita perform. Lita Ford has spoken out against the upcoming Runaways biopic in the past, but says that after meeting the actress playing her in the film, she has softened her stance. Lita met Scout Taylor Compton (Halloween) after the actress came to see her perform live with Queensryche. Lita says, "After meeting Scout this weekend, I feel so much better. She has a heart and soul, unlike some of the people behind the movie. She also hawks a mean loogey and really is a lot like me. We both cried the first time we spoke. Scout rocks." The Runaways, which co-stars Twilight's Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett, is due out in 2010.

Oohhhhh, man I love the pics, thanks for posting. Also, I think the situation, I.E. Lita softening as soon as she met Scout, shows that she's got real class and outstanding chatacter. She is being portrayed in a movie (and we have no idea how positively or negatively) and is receiving NOTHING, even though she is one of the bands' two famous alums, which counts as far as credebility for that band. And she brought Scout backstage, was moved/overcome, and opened up. She is one class act.

He should after what he did in atlanta.
Jim Gillette dragging some guy on his head in atlanta.
We were all thinking what the f**k? We're not sure if the guy was drunk or what? The guy looked dead. Jim pulled him out like a dead piece of trash.there was plenty of security so everyone was shocked by Jim's actions. Soon after Geoff Tate introduced Lita. She was guitarless and she hopped onto the stage. Jim just waiting for his turn to scream "I am I am". He totally stole the spotlight. Lita is guitarless for the 3 songs. It was a joke. I left. I will never bother with these idiot a$$holes!!

If they want to do a duo thing that's fine, but it's not being presented that way. I'm guessing the general public is wondering who the dork with the mohawk is. I'm not impressed how Lita has executed her comeback. I guess I shouldn't blame her totally, it seems as if Jim is running this show with Lita's blessing.

A recent interview with Lita. MR -- The 2010 movie The Runaways is filming. Have you met the cast or Scout Taylor-Compton, who is playing you in the film? Or have you distanced yourself from the project?
Lita -- It's a long story but I'll try to make it short. I have a really bad relationship with people behind the scenes of the film for the past 30 years. It's been a war and I don't know why because nothing happened. This guy is off his freaking tree. For some reason, he has it out for me. It's Joan Jett's management. When I heard the movie was being made, I thought I might be portrayed in a bad light. I didn't want to be a part of it and they offered me a ridiculously low sum of money for the rights to my life story. Now, Scout Taylor-Compton came to the show in Lake Tahoe and I had the pleasure of meeting her. She is awesome. I just felt so much better after meeting her. She understood me and I understood her. I think the movie is gonna be OK.
