Gus, I'm sorry, but "Rise to the occasion? (Lita) has many valid issues Gosh Danna, what's wrong with wishing she'd rise above her valid issues? A lot of Runaways fans would appreciate it and respect her for it! Gus

I'm not a god.........just someone who was lucky enough (or unlucky enough- depending on your point of view) to get to work with an idol of mine. This is why I NEVER want to be friends with Stevie Nicks. All the better to love them from afar. And Gus, again, leave it alone.

I think she'll make an awesome Lita. As long as she gets the scowl right anyway.

Lita stories around the fire with Sandy ;D A M A Z I N G ! I love it! In that interview (if I'm thinking of the same one) I thought Lita kind of glossed over it, saying something like "I hope I'm not in it". Did I miss something else? I've only seen Scout in the truly disturbing "Halloween" that Rob Zombie did, as the virginal Laurie Strode. So my first thought was "I hope she has the edge to play Lita". Then I got annoyed at myself: she IS an actor, and I'm sure she can play more than one type of character! I'm excited to see her in the role. Another Nancy Wilson fanatic here I see! That makes two of us, IUNH.

As do I. Nothing would make me crawl under the couch more than a Lita Ford that talks like a deranged Valley Girl or a Sandy West that has no passion.

And for some reason I just wanted to say that anyone can decide how they'd like another person to act or live but until you really get to know someone you can never know what they've done or gone through. No one else's interpretation of their life is ever right on because there's only one person living that life. Lita has every right to involve herself (or not) in anything she wants, just like the rest of them do. It's easy enough to say that a person should be able to just forget their own experiences but without living it, how would you know you'd be able to do the same? Lita's done great for herself and is not beholden to anyone any more than anyone else is beholden to her. It's just a guess but my guess would be that if a documentary came down the pike that was about the music, the impact of the band and was made in a realistic way, Lita'd probably be happy to take part in some form.

That makes two of us, IUNH. I haven't seen this girl in anything, but based on the few pictures I've seen, she looks good as Lita. Rumor has it she knows her way around a guitar, too. Don't get too annoyed at yourself. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she can be edgy enough for Lita. Some actors can't. Ever seen Reese Witherspoon as a badass? You mean fanatic in the non-crazy sense, right? Nancy Wilson is amazing. Heart is one of the few bands I like just as much as (and, if I'm being honest, sometimes more than) the Runaways and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. Some of you young 'uns should check them out.

Lita talks about the movie. Rolling Stone Rock and Roll Daily
Lita Ford Returns With “Sexual” LP, Explains Runaways Movie Rift
...Ford also offered her thoughts on the upcoming Runaways movie, Cherry Bomb, which features Twilight star Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett. “I just want people to know that I have nothing to do with that film,” Ford clarifies. “Joan’s manager offered to buy the rights to my life story for a thousand bucks. I thought that was pretty disgusting — we never even replied.” ...

Wow. I don't really know what to say; The movie obviously has a budget (Stars like Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart don't work for scale). This is one side of the story, but still...

A thousand bucks? That's a slap in the face. It's sad that this movie isn't going to have any input from most of the band members. I think one day I'm going to help make a very truthful and awesome Runaways biopic that has input from every band member (except for Sandy )

I think Lita should only be offended if Joan and Cherie get rich off this movie...which I highly doubt will happen. It's sad that everything has to boil down to money....but that's life I guess.
