$1000 lousy dollars!? Good God, if that's true, Lita should have gotten back to him just to cuss him out for being such a moron. Based on this, as well as some other stories I've read about dealings with Lita (granted, from her point of view), Joan's manager sounds like kind of a dick.

Without Sandy, Lita and Jackie's actual side and input of things - it's not going to be a very "accurate" movie - JMO.

Why does everything always seem to become negative when Lita's name is dropped into the conversation. I did however read how Lita said there'll always be a place in her heart for Joan. I'd like to think that's true and all this s*** really is just Kenny being a douche.
I can only imagine the s*** Lita and Joan have been through together. And although she has an image of being as tough as nails, and that all too familiar temper (my Itialian great-grandmother sounds just like Lita) Lita really comes off (to me) as having a good head on her shoulders. Meaning she knows what the f*ck she's on about.
So i gotta respect that.

Well Kenny kind of looks bad but I always thought of Joan and Kenny as a partnership. I kind of find it hard to believe Kenny just went over Joan's head and offered 1000.00 bucks, Joan had to know that. Haha..I knew whatever Lita's problem was with this project it had to revolve around Kenny in some way...looks like it is. I think the two of them should wrestle it out on a mat.

I think the two of them should wrestle it out on a mat. I'd pay to see that. My money's on Lita

Ha! Kenny wouldn't last 30 seconds! Love Lita, but she is one scary woman.

This is an interesting little tidbit. Rob Zombie helped Scout audition for her role. TAYLOR-THOMPSON THANKS ZOMBIE FOR ACTING ADVICEActress SCOUT TAYLOR-THOMPSON has rocker-turned-director ROB ZOMBIE to thank for helping her win the role of LITA FORD in a new RUNAWAYS biopic - because he coached her for the dream part. The young star turned to Zombie after auditioning for the parts of Joan Jett and Sandy West - and missing out on both. And he helped through the casting process until she eventually landed a role as Ford. She tells Nylon magazine, "He talked me through it and really helped a lot, especially when I had to learn bass and guitar. "It was a long process. They really liked me, and were just trying to find out which character fit me." And there's an ironic twist to Taylor-Thompson landing a part in The Runaways movie - she was a real-life teen runaway in 2005. Then just 16, she hit the headlines when she disappeared in New York for two weeks. She admits she hardly recalls the incident now and just slept on benches in parks. She explains, "It was just a mistake, and I learned from it. My parents and I laugh about it now." www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/article/taylor-thompson-thanks-zombie-for-acting-advice_1112887

Hmm, that's interesting. I couldn't picture her as anyone but Lita. It's cool that Rob helped out.

Just saw the preview for "Halloween II" starring Scout. If it were Lita against Michael Meyers there never would've been a sequel, she would've rubbed him out in the original!

I totally agree with that statement especially after reading one of the scripts and I am half way through the second. I didn't find the script very factual; at least to my understanding about the how things happened. I would have loved it if the script had a scene where Lita, Joan and Sandy play together for the first time and that wasn't there. All in all I am a bit disappointed. I don't even see how they can call this movie the Runaways...Marie has a bigger part than Lita. A better title would be The CC Story, Diva's and Bitches, Shoplifting Rock N' Roll Thugs, almost anything but The Runaways. And I absolutely hate the whole Robin thing. I also didn't like where in one of the scripts Sandy when talking about her parents still being together calls it "gnarley" which is a word that was not used in the '70s to my recollection. Ok, I get that this is from Cherie's memoirs but if so why call it The Runaways then? I still have enjoyed reading it though; it's a cool story even if most of it is embellished.
BTW, I am not posting this to start anything; it's just the opinion of one fan of the band.

Actually I've always thought it should have been called something else, with "Inspired by the story of The Runaways" or something like that, simply because the number of Hollywood biopics that are spot on to the truth is minuscule. First you spice up one encounter to make it more dramatic and before you know it most of the scenes take on creative license. Nature of the beast.

Marie has a bigger part than Lita? Aww, hell no! That's a load of BS! As if the sister of the (sometimes) lead singer is more important than the lead guitarist. Grr.
Okay, breathe. Must not hate movie and call it a load of crap before it comes out. Might still be as awesome as hope it will be. Deep breaths...

I still think "Neon Angels" would be an apt title as there already is a Runaways movie...
