I'm still hoping for Ricky Byrd to come back too but I won't hold my breath....

I really hope Ricky comes back to the Blackhearts! I'll be really happy if it happens!

BTW - I just got back from my New Mexico trip for thanksgiving and I tried logging on to the Joan Jett Board before I left on my trip last saturday and it was down and it's still down now? Is anyone else having a problem logging in ? The Joan Jett board ? hmmm
I have not been able to get the Sinners board to come up for a few days now.

I met him last night at Joan's show. He looks really young up close. He is a nice guy and I enjoyed chatting with him. He did a good job with the Blackhearts; he knows all the songs in their set already.

Acey is a really nice guy, easy to talk to. Great at working the crowd. They played a tight set. He's 39. It was a strange venue, Joan was being goofy and fun. Lots of crowd interaction. She was really connecting with the crowd.
Donnie, yes your friend told us. They do love you. We had a lot of fun.
I have a Joan hangover today. We stayed there so late. Joan is really funny when not many people are around.
Yeah those links worked earlier and now they don't. That sucks.

After watching footage of the Miami show Acey Slade looks to fit right IN so the left side of the stage is something to look at again.
Enzo was a very good bass player but he always seemed a bit bored on stage and for that I think they needed someone more energized.
I must admit , I'm ashamed of the audience in Miami. Come on people this ain't church. They just stand there, maybe clap their hands once or twice , maybe a fist pump once or twice please....What happen to rocking out and having a good time? In the videos below I see at least 5 people I know of from the boards and I have to give credit to Jeanne and the guy with the baseball cap who are having a good time and rocking. Thats what it's about. The others are in la la land. I hate boring crowds that just stand or sit there.
I was shocked at the Atlanta show this past august when my section had some hard core punk rockers and totally rocked it and was singing every lyric and even broke out in a ska dance. I use to go to Joan shows where mosh pits would break out and crowd surfing back in the 80's and 90's. Every once in awhile you may get a crowd like that. I love those crowds cause people don't give a sh*t and have a good time. Most of the audience today just stand there and if you bump them they wanna start a fight.
All i'm saying is that Joan Jett likes her audience to have a good time and participate it's what gets her off and we get off on her. The vibe , the energy the sweatiness of it all. Thats ROCK N ROLL and not a sunday morning of people standing or sitting staring like your at church and can't wait to get back home.

No need to be ashamed because all is not what it seems. Even though we had second row it actually became the third row because the people you see in the first two rows in the video were radio station winners, Kenny's brother's daughter and her boyfriend, etc. The fans were off to the side or starting in row 3. I was admitedly a bit laid back during this show but Sam was right next to me and he was on his feet moving and sweating from the first song. I videoed a song with my phone and all you can hear is Sam singing; it's pretty funny actually. So don't worry about Miami because we do know how to rock and have a great time at a Jett show; but this is what happens when you give away the first row to VIP's, the press, and radio station winners who don't really know who the Blackhearts are. BTW, they all got a meet and greet too which is pretty wild considering they sure didn't look or act like Jettheads.
You are right about Acey. He moves around alot, comes to the front of the stage and is alot more active than Enzo was. I enjoyed him.

I like how people tried to use my name with Joan's people just to get backstage to meet Joan.
just saying that was uncool !!!
*Not Naming Names but they know who they are !!!
If you are talking about me D get it right. Your friend T brought your name up first. It was almost as if she knew who we were in advance and was gunning for us. Just saying. Jeanne was already on the guest list and while I hadn't planned on being with her I ended up taking her extra seat so I was with her and didn't need to mention you to get back stage not that I would do that. Truth be told I mentioned your name to see where T would go with it because she was coming on strong with both Jeanne and I for what I felt was no reason at all (we already knew she knew you because she said so). Fortunately for everyone she apologized to us and we all became friends so it's all good.
