Isn't Slade considered a guitar genius? Odd that he'd switch to bass. Why is Enzo leaving the band?

I don't know why Enzo left the band all I know is he's been replaced by Acey Slade.
I know nothing of the New Bass player at all but look forward to hearing him LIVE with Joan Jett & The Blackhearts in the near future.
If anyone knows about Acey Slade please share your thoughts and info so we can learn more about him.
Thanks, Jettigre

When Joan Jett shows up at your live show it means shes looking for a new bass player. ;D
I liked Enzo. I'm sorry to see him go.

As sad as it may be yes it's true folks.I guess Blackheart will post about it soon I'm assuming. This has been in the works for awhile now. I knew The Atlanta Show would be the last time I would see Enzo in the band. Enzo was Joan's guitar tech back in the late 1990's before moving up to bassist in the 2000's so he has been with Joan for sometime now. I'm sure he will move on and be great in another band. I do hate band changes but this is long over due in my eyes.
Now, is there any hope we can get Ricky Byrd back ?

Acey Slade, (born Emil John Schmidt IV on December 15, 1974 in Downingtown/West Chester, Pennsylvania, United States), is the lead singer and guitarist of the band Acey Slade & The Dark Party. Previous to this he was the lead vocalist and guitarist in the punk rock band Trashlight Vision, which broke up September 12, 2007. Slade also played guitar in the horror punk and glam metal act the Murderdolls, and filled in on guitar for punk/metal crossover band, Amen.
Prior to the Murderdolls and Wednesday 13, Slade played bass, and later guitar, in the band Dope alongside guitarist Tripp Eisen who was also part of the Murderdolls. After Eisen left Dope, Slade was moved to guitar for the album Life. He later left Dope to join the Murderdolls, again replacing Eisen on guitar. Before joining the Murderdolls (alongside his Dope work), Slade also fronted a band known as the Vampire Love Dolls.
Slade played "Tired 'N Lonely" (rhythm guitar) on Roadrunner United for Roadrunner Records' 25-year anniversary. He collaborated on the song with musician Joey Jordison, who also played in the Murderdolls with Slade.
Recently, Slade filled in as guitarist for Wednesday 13 on his 2008 tour. He is currently touring and promoting his new band The Dark Party, whose album was released in 2010.

I always really liked Enzo because I would get this incredible eye lock with him at times. Gary will always be my favorite tho; he had style.

How many bass players has she had? Has she broken the Runaways' record of 5 yet?

Ok, so we're in Spinal Tap territory here, lol.
Has Joan ever said why she didn't want any other women in her band? Did she want to avoid the drama and fighting in The Runaways? Did she never bring in Sandy because of her drug/crime problems?

Ok, so we're in Spinal Tap territory here, lol. Has Joan ever said why she didn't want any other women in her band? Did she want to avoid the drama and fighting in The Runaways? Did she never bring in Sandy because of her drug/crime problems? In early interviews I remember Joan saying she didn't want to do an all girl thing again because she wanted to do something different. I never asked why she never played with any other women in her band. I will try to stand still long enough to get at least one video with the new bass player for you guys when I see them in Miami next month.
