Thanks for that also. I think mixed reviews are to be expected for any movie. This one isn't so bad... It says that the negative part is the lack of showing the joy of being a part of music history. Well maybe that's because they literally didn't have the time to enjoy it, or too "under the influence" to realize it, some might say.

True, not everyone is gonna agree, most of the times the critics are talking out of their backsides XD But no matter what comes out about it I'm still gonna see this movie After reading the script I agreed with the reviewer that it was unfair how much the other girls story was chewed out, just concentrating on the frontwomen of the band, but its not a biopic, more of a cautionary coming-of-age tale.

unfortunately it was a necessity to have it about Joan and Cherie, im sure they would have liked to have Lita and Jackie on board... it just didnt work out.
Im hearing great reviews. Even the middling ones are praising the performances and the concert scenes.

Those reviewers whining about the movie being just about Cherie and Joan, should redirect their complaints somewhere else, in my opinion.

Right. Especially since Joan and Cherie were the whole band.

I have to admit, when a film is made about the band, and called "The Runaways" it should tell the whole band's story. The fact that the "what happens to" crawl at the end has no mention of Sandy, Lita, any of the bass players, or that Robin was not really there is not right. It confuses people. Making it seem that the others were bit players in their own lives seems.........wrong. Originally, Joan stated that this film was a look at "one moment in the period of the band" that would have been better suited.
