So, there's an application on facebook where you can request a concert in your city by a band. Apparently, if enough people request a show, they'll notify the band and try to make it happen. I'm trying super hard to get my all-time favorite, Heart (sorry, Runaways, I love you too) to do a show in my town. Since the total tally right now is only 9, it's not going so great so far. If anybody has a spare second or two, could you go to this link and click the "Request it" button beside Edmonton? It would be much appreciated, and I would totally repay the favour with your town/band. apps.facebook.com/ilike/artist/Heart/come_to_my_town?open_post=true&_fb_fromhash=0ee77d97b383eaceeec7640818cb1638

Umm, sorry to hear you are unimpressed with facebook, but a lot of people use it. That's kind of who this was directed at. Not sure what your point is.

I was just saying I don't like it but it's all good if you do and everyone else.
I tend to like myspace and my yearbook better.
I don't like Twitter either.
I think alot of these sites give out TMI - but there is no one to blame but ourselves when we post every move we make in our lives. People need to be careful when posting their every move. You never know who is out there in cyber land and watching.....

Well, I must agree with you about Twitter. I don't see the point of that. Tried Myspace for a bit, but none of my friends are on it so there was no point. I find facebook helpful to plan things with groups of friends (beats phone-tag). Also, my city now has the most votes (only 13, but still) for the Heart concert request thingy. If this bloody thing works, to actually convince artists to have a show somewhere they normally wouldn't, I would have to say I would love Facebook forever.
