Sex Pistols. DEFINITELY!! But although Girlschool was around, they didn't really make their mark until the 80's.
Still don't know how i forgot to mention the Sex Pistols, Joan has them on her shirt in my freaking avatar haha!
It's early over here, yes that will be my excuse.

I'm sure 'Wild Thing' by the Troggs is going to work it's way onto the soundtrack. Ooh, maybe Stella will do a cover! (You know, because that was Sandy's thing)

I think it was in that cool Runaways feature in MOJO magazine, something about walking into the Sugar Shack or Rodney's and Joan dancing to "Tiger Feet" by Mudd. That'd be a cool addition. I wouldn't mind some Suzi, Gary Glitter, Sweet, Bowie. We've all read about their influences (Joan loved glam, Cherie, Bowie, Jackie, Kiss, Sandy, Queen, Lita probably Black Sabbath) but my guess is that the soundtrack will be pretty glam rock heavy.

God i can picture Joan strutting into Rodney's all glamed up with her platform boots with total attitude. . . Then jumping like a spazzo 'dancing' to Mudd. Haha! I love my imagination. . . I used to rock out like that in front of my mirror when i was 5 to the Spice Girls, (lay off they were my crack in the 90s) or Shania Twain. Yes, i was a freaking AWESOME kid. I had my scrunchy and skivvys on too. Hot stuff.
It's okay i developed taste in my teens.

Yea, I heard that Sweet will be on it and I hope like hell Deep Purple and Kiss. Jackie, Lita and Joan played Strutter the first time they met.

I love all these bands too, but remember, the more they put of these songs by other bands that we have all heard 100 times on the soundtrack...the less we will hear of fresh new material. When I say new material I mean re-recordings of the Runaways songs. I was really looking forward to this being something like the soundtrack to "Walk the Line". I would hope to see 10 new re-recorded Runaways songs and maybe another 2 or 4 songs by other artists.

I hope they have a 2-disc soundtrack that features Dakota/Kristen singing Runaways songs on one disc then other awesomeness on the other. Or it could be like that but mix tape style.

I just read that an extra confirmed that Dead End Justice is in the movie!! After one long, crappy day, that's like hearing Joan Jett is coming to Hartford and I get tickets cheaper than everyone else (because the news isn't as awesome as free front row tickets to a Joan Jett concert at a stop she didn't plan on making)

Of course you're not a bad person, I'd love to see some original choreography relived! (Especially that song!). And your new avatar is awesome.

Wonder if we'll hear anything of the Germs? As most of you know, Joan produced them in '79. It'd be darn interesting to see how she "fell asleep" on the couch during the recording of "Shut Down" heh heh heh

Ha, that would be interesting. Too bad they aren't going to cover all that much of what happens after Cherie leaves...
I wonder if there's going to be any Joy Division on the soundtrack. I have a feeling this is going to be one of the best soundtracks since Dazed and Confused (that have been to my liking anyway) (if there has been a better soundtrack than that since 1993, please mention it)
