Okay, this is one thing that just bugs me to no end. Concerts that are 18+ or 21+. I can't even begin to express my frustration with this. Case in point: every show Joan has scheduled in my state for the past YEAR has been 18 and older or 21 and older. Being 16...sometimes I just feel like screaming. I mean, I understand the risks if you're a minor and you're allowed into a casino or nightclub - basically any venue that isn't an auditorium. And I also understand that the tour dates/locations are pretty much outside of the artist's control. But I want a chance to see Joan perform just as much as the rest of you guys do...all the adults on this board should realize how lucky they are. People are like, "Appreciate your youth!" And I'm sitting here going "Appreciate WHAT? My inability to see one of the icons of rock and roll in person?!" I'm just tired of calling venues and being told that the show isn't open to minors. I realize there will be other shows. But one of my biggest fears is that Joan will stop touring and I'll never see her perform. Excuse the long rant...I just really get tired of being young sometimes.

I can really relate to that, since there are national bands that I LOVE and when they come to town they play at clubs and my brothers doesn't want to take me there just in case we get in trouble because I'm a minor (I'm 16 and the legal age of drinking, clubbing, etc in venezuela is 18) but they mostly don't pay attention to that, which I'm sorta glad of that in the part of drinking lol in the clubbing part it depends the place, there are some of them where they don't pay attention to that but sometimes it bothers me

There is HOPE after all even if your not of legal age there is still hope. Back when I was under age I will still go to the show and hang around and try to find Kenny Laguna - Joan's manager. He always got me and even though police would say you have to leave Kenny would always somehow get you in weather it be sidestage/backstage or where ever at least you are inside the show. Kenny use to do this all the time back in the day. Also, I had many night club owners for 21+ shows get me in. I use to call the club/venue and tell them I drove 800 miles and just found out it's 21+ over and please is there anyway I can get in ? I promise - I won't drink , I just wanna see my favorite band. Not once have a night club owner turned me down they always let me in and even gave me VIP treatment and hell they even offer me FREE drinks on the house. so there is still hope to get in even if you are under age you just have to talk to the right person. Even if you have to slip someone a little $$$$ there is always hope that you will get in. And if you don't at least Kenny will let you meet Joan and get you an autograph cause Kenny always does that. Plus, I would go even if I didn't get in so hopefully I could hear the band playing even from a distance and being outside. I tell you I would fight hell & high water to get into the show even if that means getting a family or friends birth certificate and getting a fake ID. I don't care what I have to do somehow , someway I'm getting into the club/venue to see my favorite artist.

Wow Donnie, I just learned a thing or two with what you wrote. But thats a nice thing about Kenny. I'm gonna start using the one that you rive from a long distance and you didn't know that the club is for +21. But in part I AM going to be telling the truth since all the bands that comes near to my town I always have to drive to the city or other places that are like an hour or two from where I am
