Kathleen Hanna is BACK !!! New Album & Tour

My friend from NYC attended a Kathleen Hanna / Riot Grrrl concert and filming for Katheen Hanna's Movie / Documentary and Joan & Kenny were there but Joan did not perform she hung out with Kathleen most of the night sidestage/backstage while the other bands were playing and being filmed. so maybe Joan will do a cameo in the movie about the life and times of Kathleen Hanna.

Also, Kathleen played some new songs she is working on an introduced her new band Julie Ruin. If anyone knows about Kathleen or Julie Ruin , Julie Ruin was a side project Kathleen had which later turned into Le Tigre. Now she is introducing Julie Ruin as a band cause before it was just Kathleen recording herself on a old reel to reel recorder and now there is a complete band.

Kathleen confirmed there is a NEW Album coming soon.

one time , I went to see Le Tigre while I was living in Atlanta and you couldn't buy tickets in advance you had to get them at the door and just as I got to the door I was the next person in line they said the show was sold out. I was in tears , I kid you not and this Lesbian Couple from the midwest ( can't remember what state ) drove 14 hours to the Atlanta show and they had an extra ticket and they gave it to me for FREE.I hung out with them at the show and they even bought me a Le Tigre 12'' Remix Album. I had so much fun with them and if it wasn't for them I would have never gotten in.

Another time at a Le Tigre show it kinda happen the same way and the show sold out while I was in line but this time JD Samson of Le Tigre was at the bus and she got me in no problem. I have met Kathleen and have a photo of us together. I told her I wasn't leaving until I get a photo with her and she was nice enough to take one with me.We chatted alot about Joan and writing songs like Fetish, Rubber & Glue, Kiss on The Lips and others. Kathleen was so nice to me and I love her so much.

How do you think i got my name Jettigre ?

Joan Jett & Le Tigre = Jettigre.

OMG! I love the librarian one thats FANTASTIC! Great story too! you may actually have an alternative Rock guardian angel...lol I would love to see the pic too! Many moons ago! in Boston I had a chance to meet & talk with Bette Midler...and she was unreal....I was the only one who got to hug her & she took me aside in the middle of everything going on and spent time just talking to me for awhile...Thats somethin I will always remember...dont think i even have the pics anymore....but she truely was "The Divine Miss M" ;D

Actually everybody thinks you say it like Jett Tiger and nope it's like Tigre as in Le Tigre and put Jett in front of Tigre and you get Jettigre.

I have had the name Jettigre for 10 years now and I love it.

Also, for those who don't know this about Kathleen.

Kathleen has always admitted she is Bi-Sexual and rumored to have been with Joan for about 5 years in the 90's until Kathleen met Adam Horovitz, a.k.a. Ad-Rock of the Beastie Boys in 1997.The two have been involved since 1997, and were married in 2006.

I love that K.Hanna is doing something again. I do like Le Tigre but miss the basic guitar/drums sound of Bikini Kill. I never did check out those Julie Ruin tapes but considered it. Hanna has a big voice that needs to be backed up by a real band and not that electronic stuff. She was interviewed on NPR a few years ago and said she wasn't being active in the whole riot grrl thing anymore. Now if Babes in Toyland and L7 got back together (they aren't riot grrls) the world would be right again.

Plus, Kathleen has been in a LONG TERM relationship with Adam Horowitz from the beastie boys since 1997 and she was dating Joan from 92-97 so Kathleen has not been checking others peoples ass out when she was with only 2 people in almost 20 years. Thats d@mn good if you ask me.
