I was checking out at the supermarket, and in those "impulse buy" racks there was a copy of "Parasite" with Cherie Currie staring right back at me! I couldn't resist picking it up even thought I'm broke! I originally saw this in the theaters in 3-D, glasses and all. I must've been 12 or 13 at the time, and I remember knowing Cherie was in it and that, although it was "rated R", I HAD to somehow get in. I think we (my childhood friend David) bought tickets to "Seems Like Old Times" or something, and swiped some glasses before we snuck in. It was a blast! And although it's not a film in which character development reigns as a most important aspect, Cherie still shines through as always having a great sense of truth about herself as a character, and looks gorgeous as always. I'm psyched to add it to my dvd collection.
