I might get shot down by Dag cause all he says I do is brag which isn't true just stating facts.
Jealousy is a bad thing !!!
Joan Jett did perform ''Neon Angels & Is it day or Night'' after Cherie left the band. I also have Joan Jett's version of California Paradise , C'mon ,Queens of Noise & American Nights with The other members of the Runaways.
hope this helps you guys out.

I've heard Joan sing the last 4 songs you mentioned on bootlegs, but where did you hear her sing Neon Angels and Is it Day or Night? Even Cherie's voice sometimes cracked doing Neon Angels, so Joan must have sung it in a different key or something.

i too, seem to remember 'neon angels' played at the '77 & '78 london gigs. can't be sure, as it was so long ago- but that song springs to mind. wonder why they stopped playing johnny guitar, though? it was only really jackie & cherie who didn't like it, so why stop playing it once they'd left?

Cool, a boot from their Japan tour different than Live in Japan. I'm jealous!
You ought to post some of your collection on alt.binaries.mp3.bootlegs. I downloaded really good quality copies of the Agora and Palladium shows from there.

I always loved the way the liner notes on "queens..." stated that the "groan" was Lita Ford. I always listened for it. I like Johnny Guitar, and have always liked live versions better. Cherie loves taking those pot shots at Lita. Lita could've written fuc*ing "stairway to heaven" and cherie would've said it was a bad song. Those ballads cherie sings on "flaming schoolgirls" make me wanna lie down in traffic. Jettigre what an awesome collection! Holy sh-t, I'm impressed (and more than a little jealous!)

Actually, I like Cherie's covers of those Beatles songs. She has such a great voice. But the ballads didn't fit with the Runaways' style. She really could have had a long, successful music career with the right group.

I never like the studio but live, it really shows off LIta. I don't like the story begind it, of Lita wanting attention so much. She was a little under used though. But geez, shes crazy.

It was a great opportunity for Lita to show off her mad skills, but I am not a big fan of the song. Major respect tho!
