I hadn't even thought of it, but this must mean that Dakota is playing TWO roles, right? Marie as well as Cherie? I remember the break downs (character descriptions) for all of the roles, and I thing Marie was listed as a major part back then. Any thoughts? Has anyone heard anything about Dakota Fanning playing Marie Currie as well?

I've been wondering about that too! I'm assumng Dakota will also play Marie. I don't know how else they could pull it off. Unless Marie won't be portrayed at all, which seems doubtful. GD

Hi I'm new but according to the script and the photos on JJ today Riley Keough is playing Mair Currie. The changed the sister from identical twins to fraternal twins.
Sorta of funny but there would have been no way for Dakota to play both parts. No wat. Marie has a significant part in the movie and she is in it alot.

Okay, somebody clue me on on why Marie is so important that her character is a major one. She wasn't in the band, and was barely mentioned in Edgeplay. The only thing I've ever read about her having anything to do with the Runaways was in the notes of one of the CDs, which said Kim Fowley approached her before Cherie, but she basically told him to go (rhymes with truck) himself. So, somebody please tell me why she is more important than Lita, Sandy or Jackie to the Runaways story, before I get all bitter about it.

I have no idea but Cherrie's book is used as a refrence for the script. Marie is her identical twin and i'm sure she has a huge influence on her life. Marie also traveled with the band and did their makeup some times. I'm hoping that the script has changed to include more of the lives of the rest of the band but Floria's original script is mostly about Cherie and Joan. Ha with emphasis on Cherie.

It's a PERIOD piece. LOL
Have you not read the script? I has, actually Chrys and I read it together- and we laughed quite a bit- but not in the right spots.
Sorry, I won't be passing a script around.
