I've been looking for a cassette of Live in Japan for a while now, and I can't seem to find one. I would get a CD, but my CD player is broken and there's no use in putting it in my computer since I don't have an iPod to put it on. Live in Japan is my favorite album and it would be awesome if I could actually own it. Does anyone know where I could get a cassette of it? Do people even supply cassettes anymore?

I'm not even sure it ever came out on cassette. If you have a turntable, you can find the odd vinyl copy on eBay, though. I'd recommend the vinyl version for the cover alone. It unfolds for a big full-length shot of the girls, so you can see Joan's red jumpsuit and Lita's silver platforms in all their glory!

That's awesome! I've always wondered where I could get that poster. It's settled, I'm getting the vinyl. I'm pretty sure it did come out on cassette, but I could be wrong. If it did I'll buy that too so I can bring it places (yeah, I'm old school, I have a walkman) Thanks

Wait! If you can, search out the Japanese pressing of it! It comes with 5 individual photos of each member (each the size of the album cover) with a sort of questionairre that each girl answers on the back, along with an insert of the lyrics (some of which are translated incorrectly). SO worth it!

I second what jettford said. And I'd add to try and get it with the OBI strip (a yellow band on the left side of the album), makes it MUCH more collectible.

okay, i will. I haven't found a decent copy of the record yet (the ones i've found have scratches on them and most likely skip), so I haven't bought one yet. I'll keep an eye out for the Japanese pressing. Why does Japan have to have all of the better Runaways stuff?! It was like Beatlemania over there or something!

I have a Dutch pressing and it has the book with the individual posters aswell. Does that mean that only the US pressing lacks the book ? For me the highlight of the cover is the inside when you open it, brilliant live shots!

Aww, I got the crappy American one. I think I remember seeing some of the Japanese ones on ebay, but they were crazy-expensive. It is actually worth it, though?
