This is really sad news. I never met Niva in person (that I know of), but he was always a total class act in his e-mails and very cooperative about using his photos on websites, etc. My condolences to his family and friends.

I always enjoyed his photography.
Does anyone know what exactly happened? I asked on Joan's board and got no reply. I don't think anyone there knows for sure.

I'm very sad that Niva has passed. He was a friend and I will miss him around town at the local gigs. We were trying to set up some time to hang out recently but he was pretty busy and I've got my stuff going on. The last time we tried I said I was too tired to go out. I will miss him.
