I'm watching Edgeplay now.
Something that is in my mind is this sex education thing with Kim.
Sandy says in Edgeplay that the abuse did not include Lita , Joan or her.
Then Sandy says......
''Was there sexual abuse in The Runways'' ?
Sandy says she is not the one to ask. According to Sandy - Lita , Joan & her wasn't abused so that leaves Cherie & Jackie which makes me believe Cherie about Kim's Sex Eduction that included either Cherie or Jackie or even both.

Sunnydey, it's a long story, which I promise to recount another time. However, just so you know, Lita and I did eventually offer to be involved with the project, but I don't think the producers (the Linsons) were ever seriously interested in making this anything other than the Joan/Cherie story and they (the Linsons) and the distributor did not treat us well in the process. Thanks for the reply Jackie but I agree with Cherie. The time to get involved was from the outset. Waiting until the movie was in production was too late if you were pushing for major changes.

How can you want to push for major changes when you don't even know what is in it to begin with? Not taking sides here, but I just don't understand some people's logic. Additionally, if we are talking about the movie I believe Jackie had asked to see the script and was denied that, and then there was the lawsuit, yada yada yada.

My point was that she could have influenced what was in it, to begin with, if she had chosen to get involved. Movies are expensive to produce and the window of opportunity to film, around the actor's schedules, did not lend itself to re-writes, once production had begun.

I didn't make a penny from Edgeplay. I helped Vicki out and she put my name on as an Executive Producer as a friend, which I took off when Joan and Kenny started threatening law suits against the film since I had no control over its content. And since I had no control over its content, I also didn't take out anything Cherie said. Besides... there is a difference between someone speaking an on-the-spot memory of something that happened, when there are countering viewpoints offered, and someone taking the time to present something as fact.
As for the Runaways movie, I will post later why I wasn't involved. I can't just throw a casual post about it together. I write my long posts over several days, I keep them for a few weeks, I try to make them as accurate as possible. The Edgeplay threats were part of the reason for my hesitation on all Runaways projects thereafter. More later.
Now I'm gonna run and take the girls to the vet.

Jackie, it's so nice to see you here. You're one of my favorite Runaways.
I don't want to see you and Cherie start fighting on this thread. We've all had events in recent years remind us just how short life is. Part of being human is learning to put all that crap in our past behind us and forgive each other. Our fragile egos are not important and will be gone someday anyway. The music you made together will never be forgotten.

Hal, you create in the beginning process. Jackie had that chance like I did and Joan. She chose the 'wait and see' option when her input was, at that early stage, important. You don't let someone paint your house and let them pick the color is all I'm saying. It was her choice. And we all know, WE have to live with our mistakes. I do..

Thanks for the clarification Jackie! I know that a lot of years have passed since The Runaways were together. I think as a fan it's important to listen to each band members perspective and not judge. I think there's a lot of hurt feelings. For instance Lita and how she feels Kenny has tried to ruin her career and has kept her away from Joan. Joan has said she loves all The Runways members and stays quiet which is a smart thing to do since she's still a popular rocker. I could see the hurt in everyone in Edgeplay as well. I as a fan made the mistake of taking sides previously. I certainly won't anymore. I realize now that each Runaways member has her own account of what happened and each one contributed to the magic that we have loved for the past 30 something years. So, to Cherie and Jackie - love ya both!

Ok Cherie, thanks. I know what you are saying. I've made plenty of mistakes that I have to live with because now it's too late to go back and change history. At least this whole thing is no big deal; I mean nobody is going to die or anything.

Thanks Hal. Just to put into perspective a small story regarding the film. My older sister Sandy was asked to meet the director in the early stage of writing the script. Marie, mom and my stepfather Wolfgang (RIP) met at my home with Floria but sister Sandy had other plans that day... She was very upset she never ended up in the script...

Hi Cherie!
I'm only correcting things you wrote about me or my mother. That's really all I care about, especially with respect to my mother.
And regarding the movie, I don't think you know all that went on in the early stages. My not wanting to participate had nothing to do with you, although at your request I did reach out to the producer and spoke to both him and to Floria. I'm sorry if they were keeping you out of the loop. Perhaps it would have caused you less distress had you known.
Peace,
Jackie

Jackie, thanks for setting the story straight. I always wondered about what Cherie stated about your mom and how you felt about it. I just know myself, and if it were me, I would certainly have words with someone to accuse my mom of that. And Jackie, this is TB from FB.

Cherie Currie is full of it. It is proven how she has treated her friends/fans with ultimate disrespect. However, she expects us to buy this new album she is coming out with, because believe me the Justin Bieber fans, and Lady Gaga fans, have never heard of her. Personally I thought it was dead wrong the Runaways movie did not mention Sandy West's passing at the end of the film, but yet Sandy apparently agreed to sign on for the film prior to her death, and she was supposed to be Cherie's friend. Cherie is vindictive and will turn on you with the blink of an eye. I know she has had issues in her past with drugs and other unfortunate experiences, however the key word here is "help" and she should certainly go seek a therapist. You have greatly disappointed me Cherie. I was a fan since I was a child in 1975 and I thought you was a friend but it turns out you do not care about anyone but yourself.

As a JettHead, I believe that Joan would never have written the foreword for Neon Angel had it been filled with a bunch of lies.

But didn't Jackie admit that she tried to kill herself in EDGEPLAY? (not being judgmental...).
Or maybe I have to watch EDGEPLAY again... (?)
