omg i loved that article. i'll paste what I wrote at my initial reaction... She makes some excellent points regarding the high protein(and especially soy-based replacements) diet of vegan/veggies who are told and believe they must not let their diet lapse in that area.
My height of physical prowess and tone was when my diet consisted of lots of grapefruit juice(people are scared of juice because of the natural sugars), a baked potato with lemon juice or salsa(again, people scream CARBS), steamed veggies including broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, cabbage and mushrooms, a green salad with raw almonds, raw chickpeas, and some sort of olive oil dressing, and as a snack an apple or dried fruit(again, people scream CARBS). I had a six pack, energy for days, never caught colds, and basically felt better than I ever have.
Earlier this year, i began going back to basics(as you can see in this thread). I no longer seek out the vegan and trendy soy-chefs who over salt and over fatten vegan foods, and attempt to make them all like meat foods with a replacement.
My body told me what it liked. And I've lost 40 pounds of my processed food girth, with more to go this year. I upped my water intake, fell back in love with steamed rice, and in a coincidence, I am Italian, so I put salt-free diced tomatoes on everything(rice, potatoes, even heat them up in a bowl with herbs and eat them).
So, I wanted to show you guys that article. I love it. I lived it. And I know it works.
I was vegan before they even had a name for it. And I like to pretend there are no such things as gardenburgers, tofu dogs, fakin' bacon, etc... It's way healthier.
P.S. it's 50 pounds now;)

Go for us poor Aussie fans that can't! Attachments:

Do it Lee! Whoever the girl is in the cage... I'd get in there with her she'd have to lose the skirt and put on some leather pants for me...though it wouldn't have to be for long!
