That's great news. I never understood the basis for the suit in the first place.

Joan is playing at a fashion show tonight at The Box in NYC ....
wonder if jackie will show up to celebrate her victory?
although , it was dismissed this is victory for not only Jackie but for Lita & Vicki too ....
Joan/Kenny kept trying to run the show and bullying the other girls well not this time .... The judge saw through BLACKHEART and there antics ......
I'm so happy for Jackie that ''THOSE'' people didn't push her around !
I bet Jackie, Lita & Vicki are laughing their asses of right now at the Lagunatic !!!!!

"The judge, Peter Sherwood, cited in favor of Fuchs motion to dismiss the case based on the fact that there is no “personal jurisdiction” for her in New York."
Nobody won.

Jackie doesn't get sued, so she won.

Correct - since Jackie didn't get sued and the case was dismissed Jackie WON this lawsuit.
on another note: I posted joan was playing the box last night in nyc . Well, my friend went and joan did not perform but she did host a fashion show there earlier in the day ..... I would love to see photos and what joan was wearing .....
now back to Jackie's victory win !!!

"personal jurisdiction (law): in the law of civil procedure, the ability of a court to hear a case brought against a party stemming from that party's presence, activities, or contacts within a specified set of geographical boundaries, usually the borders of a county, state, or nation."

I am happy for Jackie that this is now over. Does this mean that Joan and Kenny could refile in California? I guess they could but I think they would look like aholes if they do. This lawsuit was just a joke from day one.

I don't think I saw this item posted on Joan's board. Someone did post about the lawsuit at it's onset but not about this to my recollection. Maybe I'll post it myself if nobody else does.

I have not been posting over there very much and just going the PM route with some of the people I enjoy. There are so many sycophants and asskissing going on that it's a little much at times. What's with that dancing pickle? Sheesh!

I really wanted to see this movie but I am interested in hearing about the story of all the members. Hearing that Joan sued Jackie sucks. The more I hear that some of the members don't even talk is disappointing. I love Cherie and Joan, but The Runaways included more people than just two members, and in my opinion it was about them all. They all were what made The Runaways great. I wish after all these years that they could heal the rift.
