If you can believe the scripts that were floating around the end of the movie is Cherie working in some kind of linen store as I recall and hearing Joan on the radio and calling in. Then the store owner tells her to get back to work. Do they completely skip Cherie's movie and solo recordings? If they go right from Cherie leaving the band to the linen store it is kind of inaccurate and unfair. It's sad that Cherie's accomplishments would be ignored but Cherie must have mentioned them in the book at least.

I guess if the movie is focused on the Cherie/Joan friendship it would make sense that they skip to their next contact after Cherie left the band. Probably a good way to conclude.

Well, that isn't quite how it happened. She was working in a clothing store and heard Joan on the radio....in 1982. BUT she and Joan didn't talk til 1988 when Joan was on Rodney's show (Rodney Bingenheimer's Rodney on the ROQ for those who are clueless on Rodney) promoting UP YOUR ALLEY and Cherie called in. It was sort of awkward. I got it on tape still. They were very nice to each other and Rodney said they would keep Cherie on the line for the 2 to talk after the show. Also around 1992 there were pictures of Joan, Sandy & Cherie at a show in California. (Sandy & Cherie just went to the show, they didn't play).

They did open for Blondie, at least in Holland in 1978.
