it's cool- I just don't want us losing our playhouse!
When more stuff comes out, I'm sure we can yammer on about it some more. It will be the same when the dailys start to leak too- no links, PM's etc- when it hits DVD- there shouldn't be any problems.
Oh - these bloggers were asking about the shirts, like they thought that it was so the press knew who the girls were portraying. Yikes. If you are gonna blog and call it news, do your homework.

They are nifty to read, I'm thinking the "tamer" of the two is the more recent. But- until I see come camera angles, I make no conclusions. My understanding tho is that the shooting script is more "Joan-Centric"

My understanding tho is that the shooting script is more "Joan-Centric" I'm pretty sure the longer script is the newer one. I hate it when biopics put more focus on one person than the band as a whole. Like how The Doors only focused on Jim Morrison and we learned basically nothing about the rest of the band. I'm sure they won't do that for The Runaways. I hope.

not having read the script (not that I haven't tried) and only going by read synopsis and posted photos and caliber of actresses playing Joan and Cherie and being based on Cheries' book.....it look like the bulk of the movie centers around 1st. Joan and 2nd. her relationship with Cherie and 3rd. the rest of the band ad nauseum as support characters.....

Yeah it's got a lot about the relationship between Cherie and Marie, and their mum and dad.

Hmm.. Now that I think about it, it focuses a lot more on Cherie's life than Joan's. So it's 1) Cherie 2) Joan 3) the band and Joan and Cherie's relationship.

I am wondering if the "famous" incident where Cherie had to leave the photo session early because she was supposedly sharing a car with Marie is in the script. I am guessing it is; not only because that was when Cherie left the band but also because there is that controversy about whether it was Cherie or Lita who got there late. I am guessing Cherie would want to present her view of what happened. Anybody know?

Actually, it's not in the script. I was surprised by that. What happens in the script is (spoiler alert): Cherie's drunk in the studio reading a magazine article about the band and Kim keeps telling her to get in the booth and she keeps refusing. Sandy reads something from the article where Kim says "The best thing that could happen to this band would be if Cherie hung herself from a shower rod and put herself in the tradition of Marilyn Monroe.” Then Lita says that he's right, Joan tries to get Cherie to go in the booth, Lita starts fighting with Cherie, Cherie starts fighting with Kim, and then she walks out. Then Kim says they'd be lucky if they got a gig in a shower and Joan starts trashing the equipment then walks out.
It could've been changed since that draft.
