In Suzi's book she refers to Joan as CLONE JETT.

I think Suzi was a novelty act. Her music was uninspired fluff and has not stood the test of time. The Runaways, on the other hand, played inspired rock music which has proven to be much more timeless than most of their male contemporaries. For Quatro to call her Clone Jett, only confirms her jealousy.

From Fanny's website; interesting...
Fanny, the original "godmothers of chick rock", were the first all-female rock band to be signed to a major label. They toured from 1970-1975, wrote and arranged their own songs, released five albums, and had a number of international hit singles. But most importantly, they played hundreds of fantastic live concerts for thousands and thousands of fans and were instrumental in founding the modern world of women in rock. Many major women rock artists - from Joan Jett to Girlschool to Courtney Love and many, many more - were able to get to the top because Fanny broke down the barriers and opened the way!
From what I understand Suzi was huge overseas. Just ask Veronica who used to post here. She was a big fan.

Well, I’ve seen you before on the discotheque floor you were driving me out of my mind Oh, but I could of swore that I saw something more in your eyes... Man, I love that song. It's so dorky, but so great. Clone Joan: It was fair in the beginning, sure, but born out of jealousy. Yeah, Suzi rocked it d*** straight, in the beginning, but she really lost her confidence and focus. I believe the Runaways and Joan were partly responsible for that. Her response to them should have been to show Joan who's boss and come back with a real rocker, but from '76 on (with the exception of Rock Hard) her music just went in this mellow, aimless direction. Sorry Suzi, as much as I loved you there is NO EXCUSE for horse-manure such as the Main Attraction LP, or that I'm a Rocker bs that followed it up a few years later. As far as Fanny, yeah, I feel bad for the Millington sisters. They were very talented musicians and really were the first, but I wouldn't say the first female HARD ROCK band. They were more post-hippie rock-funk, hard to catagorize. But talented nonetheless. Maybe now someone will make a movie about them.

I doubt there'd be much of a ground swell of interest over a Fanny biopic.
