Got this today about the Re Issue of "And Now" "Just managed to find out for you - official 'street date' (as they used to say in what was once the music industry) is 12 May 2008 . . . That would mean, I imagine, that Cherry Red should have copies in by the end of next week - ish."
Looks like there will be two releases this month.

Cherry Red has updated The Runaways webpage showing the new Japanese Singles Collection. They didn't update the writeup for And Now... making me wonder if they've updated the liner notes booklet at all for this CD reissue. Japanese Singles Collection cdmred358 This collection brings all the band's Japanese singles for the first time together on CD. The Runaways enjoyed huge success across Europe and Japan. With the band's various line ups, Joan Jett, Lita Ford and crew enjoyed a high profile through their singles releases and their exceptional live shows. This CD features all the band's highly collectable Japanese picture cover single sleeves, lyrics, discography and sleeve notes. The CD features 2 bonus tracks, the UK single "Right Now" and it's b-side "Black Leather". This was to be the band's last single release. The Runaways were formed in L.A. and guided by Kim Fowley.
At the time of formation, the band members aged 16-17 years old and soon went on to sign a record deal with Mercury Records.

I had a hand in the Liner Notes for ANTR Re issue, Cherry Red also emailed regarding our "really cool and informative site " that they were "eating up"-Don't be surprised if the bios and the discog are from here. I hope the Liners come out cool.

Thanks for letting me know that Cherry Red actually is updating the liner notes booklet for And Now.... I received an update from CD Universe on my preorder. Japanese Singles Collection Runaways new street date: 06/17/08
At the time you placed this order, the item was a pre-order. The street date has since been pushed out by the manufacturer.

I got the Runaways Japanese Singles Collection CD this week and its disappointing. The artwork is nothing special. All the 7" covers are small and plunked on the pages around a boring and sometimes incorrect bio. Seen all the photos before so there isnt going to be any surprises. Whatever.
