I have never heard this song and I thought I pretty much had it all until I heard this. I have seen the bootleg floating around but always thought it was C'mon.... Would love to have a studio version of this. Cherie or Jackie can you give us some info on this song ? Thanks, xoxo Come On Everybody ! www.youtube.com/watch?v=om_S4cfepG0

I have heard this song, but I thought it was called "That's Rock n Roll". Jettigre, do you have a bootleg of "who do you voodoo"?

It's a cover of an Eric Carmen song called "That's Rock and Roll." We never recorded it in the studio. Sean Cassidy later covered it as well, probably as a result of having seen us play it at the Starwood in Los Angeles.

Thanks Jackie for the info....
So this is really rare cause it's a live version and never recorded in the studio.
I thought maybe it was a cover but wasn't sure.
We love you Jackie !!!
xoxo, Donnie

That is definitely a smoking version of Johnny Guitar. That's Rock and Roll is also very cool.

I downloaded the Starwood bootleg recently from the Usenet and I was amazed at how sloppy Sandy's playing is. Or is my copy of the recording just messed up? The rest of the band sounds fine, just the drums. She was ALWAYS such a solid drummer on every other bootleg I've heard.
Was just listening to "Is it Day or Night" and for most of the song Sandy's playing too fast; the rest of the band sounds like they're struggling to keep up with her.
I've heard that DC show before. It's nice to have it, though it sounds like somebody in the back of the audience recorded it with a K-Mart tape recorder, LOL.

crazy! i've never heard that before, what a treat! i'm gonna listen to it again. i'm listening to this particular version of "rock and roll" now. it's funny, i never was nuts about "johnny guitar" on the album (although i loved how the liner notes gave lita ford credit for the "groan", and i used to listen for it) but over the years, whenever i hear a live version, i really like it, particularly Cherie's vocals on it. it grew on me over time and i love it live. cherrykiss, i love your new avatar. great picture of Cherie! but the bricks behind her remind me of high school, yuck!

Thanks Jettford! I ♥ That Pic... Ya School or Prison LOL...it funny you say that I feel the exact same way about that song... In the recorded version I have you can just barely hear the vocals at all and I wasent crazy about it...I Love the above version and the quality of the starwood show...is not bad at all I think they were soundboard recordings!
