As Jettheads we know Joan holds different values. One reason a lot of us have stuck with Joan for nearly 30 years is because she stands for all of us. That is part of the attraction. We are all equal. Maybe you can learn a thing or two from Joanie. Peace well said. i love the runaways. and i love joan. i love what the runaways did for women. i love the message of empowerment and equality that i took away from it. that's why i have difficulty reconciling that notion of acceptance and equality with the kinds of things that cherie has said.

Then what is your problem? JJ is right and I am wrong? I see it that JJ and I see eye to eye. Should I tell Joan how unhappy you are with her? I can text her now if you like. *daydreaming about how awesome it would be to be able to text Joan whenever you want* LOL uh, yeah!

To the members of The Runaways Message board, First, I want to say thank you for caring about the band and supporting what we accomplished so many years ago. I am proud that I was a member and I have love for all the girls whom I spent those years with at such a tender age. Thank you Hawkeye for all you have done and the others that have kept The Runaways and Sandy West's memory alive. You will always matter to me. Forever grateful. Always, Cherie Currie Welcome to the board Cherie ! Its a great pleasure to have you here, and to keep The Runaways alive! ❤ xo Cherie...YOU! are so incredible to take time out of your own schedule to stop in here and Thank Everyone! this would be a better world if more people showed the kind of true gratitude that is in your heart....

Hazzard....it takes a lot of courage to attack Cherie after she has left. I have difficulty reconciling THAT.

Hi Cherie, glad to see you here. I don't think none of us Runaways fans have judged you or anything. I think what has happened is people have reacted to some of your comments and as Runaways fans we've also felt disheartened. I read almost your entire memoir, up until the green limo chapter. I am very sorry that you went through those experiences. I've been a Runaways fans since '82, I first became a Jett fan and learned about the Runaways through Joan. My sister and I would grab our tennis raquets and pretend they were guitars and we'd pretend we were The Runaways! I have to laugh now that I think there's guitar hero, etc. But yeah we absolutely loved The Runaways and what they stood for. I was super excited about The Runaways movie. The more I read your book the more I understood things. I know The Runaways today don't get along and there seems to be bad blood. And you gotta admit you took plenty of jabs at Lita in your book. Hamburgers and fat butts to just name one. Back in the 80's I was a huge Lita fan. She was like in my top 10 bands, ofcourse, Joan was #1 and The Runaways #2. Lita has become a disappointment to me as well. It was extremely disheartening as a Runaways fan when I read your Facebook postings. It wasn't even a political view but more of hate speech against muslims, and latinos in Arizona. Needless to say I was floored and couldn't believe that someone I admired was spewing this hate. Did it ever occur to you that you might offend the people who have bought your records, your book, the people that paid to go see The Runaways movie and buy the dvd? Cherie, I know several Runaways/Jettheads that don't have jobs and don't have medical insurance. I know you probably live a comfy life since you have a famous x hubby and don't have the hardships that some of us do. Yeah, we all make mistakes. I know some Runaways fans that have spent the past 20 years druggin and in jail and in that constant vicious cycle, but you know it truly is a slap in the face when we read some of the things you said on facebook. For me personally it was a major turn off. I've come to the conclusion that I love The Runaways as teenage girls, but some of the women they became are not very appealing. I want to hold on to the memory of The Runaways back in the 70s. I was really disappointed in you, Cherie. I just hope that you don't pass on hateful thoughts to your son. As Jettheads we know Joan holds different values. One reason a lot of us have stuck with Joan for nearly 30 years is because she stands for all of us. That is part of the attraction. We are all equal. Maybe you can learn a thing or two from Joanie. Peace In response to your comment...First of all you cannot be ALL things to ALL people...this is America...and as such Cherie has a right to voice her feelings and her opinions openly and freely on her pages or anywhere else she chooses...without having to read nasty comments or feel she has to defend herself... to people who dont even know her! I did not read any Facebook comments or whatever myself...but I am quite sure there was not as you say 'HATE SPEWING' or will there ever be... especially to an entire race of people...as for Jake he is a grown young man...and I am sure with an intelligent mind of his own quite able to think for himself...Cherie was nice enough to come in here and spend a few minutes ..and Im sure did not need to be slammed with all that negativity...by you or Donnie(who I was really starting to like) or anyone else.. for someone who claims to not judge people you sure have alot to say...

I have always put myself 'out there' and have felt people are worth it and a select few here keep that feeling alive today... Cherrykiss and Sunnyday to name two. Thank you. Thanks Cherie. Hopefully Cherrykiss and I and a few others provide a counter-balance to the negativity here, so the newbies aren't just inundated with it. I'm sure they didn't find there way here for that. I love having you here and hearing you say you love all your former band mates. That's just beautiful. Cherie you are so Very Welcome! I hope you always feel that you can continue to put yourself out there...and MOST! people are still worth it...(don't wanna say my real name in here) but I am STILL counting the minutes until the new album is out...LOL YIPEE! I have never come across anyone like you Cherie... you touch peoples lives everyday more than you realize...:)xoxo

#2. Lita has become a disappointment to me as well. Peace I am sorry I can't come back either because Cherry and Sunny have been as nice as I wish everyone could have been. To be honest, the above comment bothered me more then the constant attacks on me, because I will always love Lita and can't imagine what she did to merit that statement. She has raised two sons and that alone is a huge accomplishment. No matter what happened when we were kids that doesn't matter anymore. We are parents and adults now. i will stand with Lita always. Now 78, though I don't know who you are and don't have that benefit, you hide behind your false names and say hurtful things. That doesn't take courage at all. The truth is, I'm disappointed in you.
