I don't think you owe anyone an explanation. It's sad what happened but truth be told most of the fans didn't know anything about Joan's mom until afterward. Agree that Ed takes great care of Joan; he has his eye on everything and won't let anything happen to her. Plus, he's a great guy.

Donnie, I'm glad you cleared that up. People can really attempt to influence opinions, especially in the cyber world. We all fall prey to it.
The difference is, you're addressing it from a personal point of view, and not spewing hatred, singling out people by name. It shows your earnest position and garners much respect...from me absolutely!
I don't think there was a Joanie fan at Vancouver who didn't see Joan NEEDED to be on that stage, with us, feeding off us. It was all over her face and in her words. She reached out many times, as many as her body's state would allow.
XO

I can't believe she is still performing when she needs to sit and/or be carried off the stage. Sad. That is not unusal for some working people. No matter what their profession. Some people feel so obligated that when they need to stop and rest they do not until it breaks the body down. It's happened to me, and I work in an office. As evil as some of my coworkers are and heartless management. My mgr. told me last month that I'd better take all my breaks no matter what.
