personally, i found kim's comments more offensive than those of the crawdaddy journalist- he was actually slagging off the band he represented!

CRAWDADDY OCTOBER 1976 And The Stones? “I think they’re embarrassing. You’d think they would know when to quit. They were good once, but now they suck.” It's hard to believe Joan ever said that, especially considering Mick and the boys were only in their early 30's at the time and she is now 51.

If you listen to some of the KROQ interviews, Joan was a typical teen with a mouth. I think she could have said it. She was a kid. A lot of teens think 30-year olds are ancient. I'm sure she changed her mind:)

From the article: Fowley blamed his current estrangement from The Runaways,I didn't know they were already having a falling-out by Oct 1976, but I guess that's the reason for his bad-mouthing the group. I guess the girls were getting tired of his attitude and felt they didn't need him anymore. Joan had the typical punk's attitude of the 70s that the Stones were "boring old dinosaurs." The Stones were sounding pretty tired by 1976.

That's the only issue I had with the Punk attitude. At a time when disco ruled the airwaves, they should have embraced those "dinosaurs" imo.
