I do agree that the movie was rushed and yeah they made it seem like after cherie left that the band broke up but infact I agree they only got better with Joan on lead vocals. Yeah, I would have love to have seen more of Lita. I understand why Robin aka Jackie / Lita didn't have much of a part in the movie cause they didn't want no part of it. I still say Sandy in the shower masterbating should have been cut from the movie out of respect to Sandy. The movie made me dislike Cherie even more cause she was a snot nose little pre-madonna that thought it was all about her when it was about Joan & Sandy and '' their '' band The Runaways. It made me understand Joan more that The Runaways were her baby and she was mad cause Cherie f*cked it up when she left the band. I'm glad joan carried the torch of the band until they disbanded. I really like the movie and thought it was great but yeah rushed .

after being nudged by Cherie at the Portland premier, I read her book. let's just say I think Joan has been the solid and class act from the get-go...someone to emulate

What I also liked about this movie is it made me respect and admire Joan even more. She really loved the band and never gave up on her dream. I love the line "it's my band I wrote the songs she just sang them." So true, Joan was the heart of the band, it was her baby and she should have been the lead singer all along, hell Joan was the most talented member in the band, her career post-Runaways is proof of that. Another scene that I thought was done well was when Lita confronted Cherie about the soft porn photo shoot, Kristen was great in that scene as was Scout, ahh the movie needed more Lita but I know they didn't want any involvement which is a shame, the movie could have been great. It's a pity Sandy didn't get more of a story the chick playing her could have really ran with that part.

Joan didn't pee on a guitar...that was fiction, she said so.

I pre-ordered a copy on Amazon.
I totally agree, I love the bands' sound after Cherie left "WFTN" has always been my favorite album, the perfect balance of Joan's punk influence and Lita's hard rock edge. Love it.
Not to beat a dead horse but what burns me about Lita's portrayal in the film is as follows: if it were legal for them to portray her with the five lines they alotted that character as a total monster, they certainly could've used those five lines to show what a f*cking guitar genius she was at 17. She was a MAJOR factor in their success and a huge reason for The Runaways to be taken seriously- Beyond the CORSET, if you will...

I totally agree. They show Lita as the mean one of the band when I think Cherie was the mean one with her miss goodie two shoes attitude which annoyed the hell out of me. All the girls had issues in the band but Cherie thinking it was all about her just got her a one way ticket out of the band. The Runaways was better off with out her. Love Ya Lita & Joan.

Yeah, Cherie made Lita sound awful in Neon Angel. Im kinda surprised that Joan went along with that angle in the movie tho. Lita deserved to be portrayed with more respect and recognition. But none of us will ever know exactly what went on between the girls back in the day, except the girls themselves.

It wasn't Cherie's fault that she was the focus of attention. Kim planned it that way from the beginning.

yes , your correct Kim did but Cherie isn't stupid and she tried to play up the innocent dumb blonde Jessica Simpson role but that jive ain't flying. Cherie knew what she was doing. Kim may or may not be this bad guy people make him out to be but Joan has said all along that the girls loved it just as much as Kim did thats why Joan doesn't talk bad about Kim cause Joan said the girls act like it's all Kim's fault when they all knew what they were doing.
