Didn't BACKLASH chart on Billboard's Rock Chart? Realistically it is the most well known of the songs from NOTORIOUS (even though DON'T SURRENDER was the official single) so it kind of makes sense for it to be on the Greatest Hits album. It's the bulk of the others that don't make sense.

New Orleans is one of my favorite songs by JJBH but even I know it will never be on one of their "greatest hits" releases. The only reason the Runaways songs are on there is because of the movie, but there is something very odd about listening to a 50 year old woman singing School Days.

I've hated NEW ORLEANS since I first got GROAMY. BACKLASH was a "hit" so to speak on Rock Radio. I always find it funny that years after singles are chosen to "sell" and album, they are left off these types of releases. It's like they were big hopes to sell an album, but didn't work, so they are just forgotten. I really think I NEED SOMEONE, DIRTY DEEDS & LITTLE LIAR should be here...and others. Where the heck is LOVE IS PAIN? Not one of my favorites but they have been playin it live for nearly 30 years...

GOOD MUSIC was not one of my favorites either, but, it charted at #83, also belongs here. Oh well, I'm done debating what is and isn't on here I guess. No sense to it. It is what it is. Hopefully it'll be cool. Looking forward to hearing whatever songs are re-recordings...I'm sure it'll be the Runaways songs.

Why on earth is Androgynous on there?

in a interview like a year ago Kenny said he feels androgy could still be a hit for them ....
I think Kenny is f*cking nuts IMO .

Androgynous was already a somewhat well known song to begin with. I enjoy her version. It fits her.

I love the Replacements, but wasn't that fond of the song when I first heard it. Sounded like a demo to me. Then I heard Joan's and though it was definitely right for her.

it's a great song.....
but, I have seen her perform this at EVERY show I have gone too since 1996 and it's played out in the set list being in there for 14 years HELLO , its time to move on and I would rather hear a classic like Victim , Fake Friends , or HELL bring back DOG !
Androgy has to go from the set list as well as LOD .

Light of Day will NEVER go out of the set, they are too proud to have a song given to them by Springsteen. They still mention the song and how it was given to them by Bruce in bios and interviews.

I also wonder why the Cadillac Commercial, I mean, Change The World isn't on there.

Joan will always play the songs she is most well known for, Light of Day will stay because of that. Bad Rep, ILRNR, IHMFLY, LOD, DYWTM and Crimson really define her career. As far as I'm concerned everything else can be rotated out. Little Liar is probably her only other super well known song, suprised the took that one out, even though I hate the song. I think us diehards get sick of certain songs, but we have to remember that most of the audience hasn't seen her 20 times.

Really? I Want You - previously unreleased? WTF! Correct me if I'm wrong but I think I've owned that for YEARS now thanks to Bleakheart? Oh and if Blackheart wanted to make this mish mash interesting they could have added the German Bad Reputation LP version of You Don't Own Me (with the power chords ending that is totally different from all the versions they released inc the "alt" version on the last reissue of Bed Rep- which is really a badly edited version of the German LP version) and the Australian 7" version of I Need Someone, which is also different version. Come on, they were as big hits as some of the other "greatest hits" on this comp. Considering this marks the 5th issue of a Jett greatest hits I'm left wondering re: song selection. And the last time I checked those three Runaways songs weren't really even hits for the Runaways, so if the Blackhearts had hits with them I must have been in a coma?
