A user named QueenofNoiz at YouTube has posted 4 very high-quality Japan clips; stereo sound and good video, unlike all the others I've seen that come from decades-old videotapes. So what's the story with this Japan video? Why will no one put out the whole thing on DVD?

Because the masters are lost. And it's expensive, and unless BH controls it, it's not gonna happen. No one even knows who actually owns the masters at this point. We have been trying to do this for over 10 years now..........but that, my friends, is another story.

I had a first generation that was just about the same quality- maybe a bit better.

Hawkeye....you had a 1st generation copy? meaning you lost it..burned in a fire...it was stolen? d***!!!! I thought the DVD bits in Edgeplay were perfect, wasn't that Jackie Foxes copy? I think Blackheart probably hasn't released it because they don't have a good copy. I remember them even hitting up Joan's fans for a copy of Little Liar for her own videos on DVD release. I think if the only way it will get released is if Blackheart does...so be-it. Someone could always secretly mail them a copy, I mean in the end the fans don't care who released it, or who should have been able to release it. Just get it out there!

I can't find it. Moving can be a pain in the ass for your stuff. BH does have a good copy.( Direct off the master if I remember correctly- that's what Kenny told me), I think it could come out, but the master is owned by someone in Japan. It would be a small fortune to license it- not to mention the legwork. It has to be licensed from whomever owns that master, but, no one has been able to track that company down. Trust me, you'll hear more on this later. Promise

The masters are likely sitting in the vault of a Japanese TV station. If the new movie is a hit, you can bet someone will dig them out and release them.

They contacted me for LITTLE LIAR the version with the "boyfriend"and all I wanted was my name credited somewhere in the dvd, but instead they offered $50. No thanks. Apparently someone else gave it to them since it is on there.

I love watching these versions. So great. Cherie was really amazing live; and Sandy, well she just takes my breath away. The video I have blows compared to these.

I have this on VHS and it is very good qty if not better. I was told mine was a first generation .
Blackheart did asked for ''Little Liar'' & '' As I am'' from the fans but I never bothered sending it to them.
You would think Joan/Kenny would have an original copy of all BLACKHEART videos. I love The Real Wild Child DVD ''ONLY'' cause it is on 2 DVD'S and not on many different VHS tapes but I am ''DISAPPOINTED'' how Joan talked sh*t about her own music & videos and how she don't remember most of her videos.
Must have been some good/bad drugs !

I have this on VHS and it is very good qty if not better. I was told mine was a first generation . I hope you've made a digital copy of it. Share some of it with us on YouTube! ;D I'd love to see a better quality copy of "California Paradise" than the one that's been posted. Or the complete backstage interview of the five of them, instead of just the 30-second introduction.

I just got a rough copy of the Japan video in the last couple of days, and if I could find an upgrade that would be super cool. It still kicks my *** to see it though, after all these years. I can't even begin to say how important this band was to me. I was super young, like 9 or 10. when I first heard them. Still love 'em today.
