PLEASE- if someone is on a bashing kick on a blog, or site, twitter etc, DON'T take it personally.
People are going to bash on the band, the actresses, etc.
Oh- they will bash you too, don't let it worry you.
If Haters show up here- we ban trolls.

You know, it didn't really look like Edward was sparkling in the movie. It just looked like he was sweating really small shards of glass. That's not very mature. Plus I don't think vampires are real... therefore a writer can do whatever he or she wants with them. It called being creative, its what a writer is supposed to do. ...yeah, but TRUE fans take it more personal...I know I've been guilty of it in the past. Sometimes it's better to just sit back and let the box office speak for itself, then you can have the last laugh.  As far as Twighlight...it may be because I'm getting old...but, I don't get it.  |

Actually, the Hawk doesn't think she's better than everything. She KNOWS it! That was a joke. Jokes are awesome. Anyway, writers have the right to write whatever they want (man that sounds a bit weird) but everyone else has the right to like it or not, for any reason they want. Personally, I like my vampires bloodthirsty and ugly and the Twilight version makes me laugh. Hysterically. I'm laughing right now. My neighbor loves it. So I have my shirt ( Vampires Don't Freakin' Sparkle) and she's got her (My Vampires Sparkle In The Twilight). But I must say, I'm far better at scaring her than she is scaring me. So far we're at 10 me, 0 her. Mwahahahahaaa. What was this thread about anyway? |

Oh- Since I DO write about Vampires, I have quite a bit of knowledge regarding the genre, including the history of, true life accounts, mythos research etc. And............VAMPIRES DON'T SPARKLE. Being creative also means understanding your genre, not insulting it. Same thing goes with The Runaways. Oh sorry -off topic. Yes, my personal current favorite is the one I'm wearing right now: "Allow me to introduce you to Jack, because you obviously don't know him." In fact, getting back on topic, that's the attitude someone should have if someone who doesn't know what they're talking about tries to do a self-glorifying bash job for no reason. Eh you just don't know Jack.

Have you two ever even read the books? If you haven't, then you really shouldn't base your opinions on the movie alone, because even I know it was a very crappy film. I would wait to see New Moon, the second one, to judge the series. Its under much better direction and there are a few very talented actors added to the cast ie. Dakota Fanning and Michael Sheen.
and keep in mind that Twilight is not a horror, its a romance. The vampires aren't the main part of the story.
