I wonder if Cherie being a republican has caused soem tension between her and Jett. There was almost no interactio between them on the red carpet and you'd think they BOTH would have been interviewed about the movie, but mostly just Joan solo. Would've been cool to have a joint interview. Also heard they arrived in separate limos. Divas.

Jeff, reading your post about how Joan arrived in a limo made me laugh. I was thinking about the story you once told about how Joan pulled up on a bicycle at a show. The Warped tour maybe; I can't remember. I thought that was so funny.

That was a fun time period to be a fan, Warped Tour and the 4 club dates she did in NYC when "Sinner" was released. It seemed she was always around. My friend lives in Long Beach (on Long Island) and says he sees her riding her bike all the time on the boardwalk.

Is her house actually in Long Beach? I know she says it is but I know someone who says her house is actually in Rockville Center. I don't know Nassau County all that well, but isn't that near Long Beach but not actually in it?

Jeff that's hilarious. I think alone. Hal, I heard she lived in Long Beach, then Rockville Center, then back to Long Beach. Who knows...the towns are close to each other (I'm from Long Island but now that my folks are dead and my best friend killed herself I have no reason to ever go back there).

For no reason other than I was 15 and it just happened that way. Oh, and at that age I thought Cherie had the best hair ever (& sadly still do). 1. Cherie 2. Joan 3. Sandy 4. Lita 5. Jackie 6. Vicki 7. Laurie

I can understand that Joan and Cherie thing. Divas most definatly. But what can you say? They stars. Well more Joan, but Cherie is still one of my top three fave Runaways.

I will rank Cherie #1. She performed with such enthusiasm and really put herself out there in a tough male dominated chauvinistic rock n roll world. Sounds like she got out when she needed to otherwise the biz would have swalled her up. A great performer and you gotta love the Bowie influence.
#2. Joan Jett. A real rock n roll stalwart. The female Keith Richards. A great band leader and great singer too. Joan is rock n roll.
#3 Lita Ford. A great guitarist with wondeful stage presence. A real pro.
#4 Sandy West. Maybe one of rock n rolls great American drummers. All good rock bands need a strong drummer. Can't say enough about her.
I really kinda rank 2-4 very equal. These women were trailblazers and genuine rock n roll troopers. All three of them.
#5 Jackie Foxx. To me, she's a bit of an enigma as I didn't take quite the same notice of her as the others, but she got the job done and fit right in. The bass player often gets overlooked but she had the classic Runaways attitude.
I also love Cherie's conservative sensibilities. liberalism IMO is way too much about conformity and correct thinking these days. It was a lot more fun to be a liberal in the 70's and 80's. Now its like a chain that drags one down. Conservative thinking I find to be so much more refreshing. If all liberals were like Joan though, that would be great. She expresses herself real well but unfortunaltely most are more like Obama.

My favorite Runaways are in order:
1) Cherie 2) Joan 3) Lita 4) Jackie 5) Sandy 6) Vickie
I have to say that it is a VERY close tie between Lita and Joan though, they could really go either way. Joan is the one who is most like me although I just love to watch Lita solo on the guitar. LOVE this band..
