Yes, she was down with marriage equality. Let's give her that. Sad to see, however, that she's now ranting about the Obama Admin. ostensibly banishing "baby Jesus" from the White House, via a crusty, musty old display. Cherie goes on to lament that the U.S. is losing its status as a "Christian Nation." With her storied past one just has to wonder, where does all this moral grandstanding come from? Meanwhile, she posts that she's hard at work churning out a steamy "adult version" of Neon Angles. Hmm ... "Does Cherie contradict herself? Very well then, she contradicts herself. She is large. She contains multitudes." I guess.

Steamy novels and right-wing politics? Sounds like Newt Gingrich.
Mixing reactionary politics and soft porn is a fine Republican tradition.

Wow, I wasn't aware of Cherie's interest in politics. I guess I would be more update if she had not apparently DECLINED to add me as a friend on Facebook. (Same with Marie.) Oh well, at least I was someone who bought and liked their album 'Messin' With the Boys." And went to see 'Foxes' at the movie theater...

When I was given my copy of Messin' I was warned that the only thing it was good for was to prop up a chair. I would have to agree.
As far as a more "adult" version of the book, I wonder what changes will be made... perhaps Aunt Evie was really Uncle Ed, or maybe there was never a Marie and it was just multiple personalities...I dunno.

For sure it's Joan and Lita up top. No one else in the band accomplished anything post Runaways.

1-Joan. Because she was the first member of the band and without her there would not be The Runaways and I love the way she plays the rhythm guitar 2- Sandy. She was a kick ass drummer and she was unique in the way she was.. (R.I.P) 3-Cherie. She brought to the band some energy that made me love her 4-Lita. She plays the guitar like a godess! 5-Jackie. I simply love her, she looked like a sweet girl that totally rocked

Don't really like to rank the girls as I love them all but... 1. Joan Jett, co-founder, the heartbeat of the band and in my opinion the most talented member 2. Sandy, co-founder, awesome drummer, the soul and backbone of the band 3. Jackie, a real sweet-heart, my fav bass player 4. Lita, excellent lead guitarist, loved her metal influence in the band. 5. Cherie, a bit of a prima-donna, preferred Joan's leads but like Cherie's too.

OK this is really hard. And here I'm reating them on musical abilities.
1.Joan 2.Lita 3.Sandy 4.Cherie 5.Jackie
I like Cherie better nowadays. Her voice is fuller and more kick butt.
Personality wise: 1. SANDY SANDY SANDY 2. Joan 3. Jackie 4.Cherie 5. Lita. Because she was pretty.... well you know what I want to say there but won't.

FRONT MAN!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I hate to think about that. But Cherie was much more of a woman.

BTW, serious republican in the house. Maybe Cherie's just un-editing neon angels to tell the truth. But let's not get into personal politics. It messes the most beautiful discussions on good bands up.

First of all Guitar Chick, I DON'T already know what you want to say about Lita and am curious as to what you mean. Secondly, "Cherie was much more of a woman" An amazing statement. Tell that to Joan. How do you define "woman"? As a matter of fact, Joan Jett and other members of the band REdefined those stereotypical ideas of what a woman was "supposed" to be. That's a major part of why The Runaways are so amazing.
