Joan* - she's just awesome. Enough said. Lita - I think she's the best female guitar player of all times I love her voice too, since I'm a big fan of her solo career. Jackie* - since I read her myspace I really, really like her Cherie - I like her as a frontwoman, thought she's not bad singing... for some reason at the beginning she was my favourite. Cherie was, like she said, the blond bombshell (and she wears it well, ). She doesn't have the best voice that I've ever heard but she was good. Sandy - she was great too! An amazing drummer, she's at the bottom of my list but that doesn't mean I don't like her btw thanks for the photos, jettigre, I saved them all ;D *aunque no se hayan destacado demasiado musicalmente.

Have to go with the way their solo careers went:
JETT/FORD = both very successful solo careers!
No one else had any success at all after The Runaways. Not in music anyway.

I think history shows us that Lita and Joan were the best. They both had many top 40 hits and none of the other girls did. After them I'd go Vicki, then Sandy then Cherrie. Never liked Cherrie's voice and I thought Sandy was a great drummer. Vicki always seemed really cool to me.

Allthough I'm not a musician, I think Sandy was probably the best musician in the band.

Sandy was awesome. The power on "Saturday Night Special" knocks me out every time. Lita to me was/is pretty much a guitar prodigy. Genius. Though they were maybe showier than Joan, she had undeniable presence and star quality and a totally unique voice. She also committed to a style and found her persona as a musician early on and grew from there. Cherie was good in "Foxes", hates Obama and wants everyone to stock their basement in case of a nuclear holocaust.

It was literally making me depressed, so I had to "un-friend" her (that made me feel mature...ugh..). I figured it was better to stay a fan and look from afar than get to know the insanity. She began posting far right extremists with a history of anti gay, anti choice, anti liberal. Pre-digested politics, insane conservative videos that she believed as soon as she watched and took as gospel. I was heartbroken so I cut it out.

Frank, I tried to "show her the light" -- so to speak, arguing against each extrimist theory, unwarranted anti-Obama rant and piece of hollow patriotism she posted. Ah, so sad to see how she turned out ... Kind of sours my attitude toward the film. Her "views" (delusions?) completely at odd with Joan's politics is the weird thing. I mean, these two spent a lot of time together working on the movie. Didn't politics ever come up? Wonder what Joan makes of her wing-nut crap.

I think Cherie is new to politics, and when you're new to it you're vulnerable to demagogues and extremists offering easy solutions. Also, she's a single mother turning 50, worrying about what kind of world her kid is going to grow up in.
I've been following politics since the 80s and the whole world situation scares the crap out of me. We've built an unhealthy, unsustainable civilization that's busy destroying the natural environment so we can have endless growth and mindless consumption.
Sorry for the thread hijack.

For the record, Cherie was really vociferous about the whole prop 8 in California, showed incredible love and support for gays- it's not at all like she's a crazy conservative- I dunno... I have to just remain a fan, which is how it shoud be.
